Introduction to Thai Yoga Massage Training
Thai Yoga Massage, known as Nuad Bo’Rarn in the north of Thailand, is a Far Eastern technique that combines Traditional Chinese and Indian Medicines. This massage style draws its origins from the yoga and meditation principles, martial arts and ayurveda.
Energy blockages are released and prana flow is regulated thru:
Stretching the person’s body; based on yoga asanas
Triggering the Nadis and Marma points
Directing the life energy via body locks
All teachings in this program are explained in yoga terminology to give a deeper understanding of this “temple art”, and to support the trainee’s previous body work/energy work practices. This allows the student to build a common language and infrastructure, whether they are professionals or new to massage.
Level 1 – Foundations of Thai Massage (30 hours, 5 days)
The first module of the program focuses on moving energy through the body. Training on the main energy lines and pressure points in accordance with Hatha Yoga principles, trainee’s learn to release blockages and nourish the physical, emotional and mental body.
At the end of Level 1, students will be able to perform massage therapy for 1 to 1 ½ hours.
Level 2 – Practitioner Training (30 hours, 5 days)
This module is aimed at a deeper understanding of the body’s energy system. Emphasizing on sensitivity and awareness, this training program includes new theories, advanced techniques, alternative movement variations to develop a dynamic sense of rhythm for treatment.
At the end of the 1st and 2nd Levels, the trainee will be able to apply massage therapy to the whole body for 1 ½ to 3 hours.
Certificate of approval:
The student who complete the 2nd Level will be entitled to receive: 60-hour Traditional Thai Massage Training Certificate, accredited by Spanda Yoga School.
