Yin Yoga Foundations Teacher Training
Yin Yoga holds an important place in the current yoga landscape
Yin Yoga Teacher Training
You may be drawn to yin for its gentle, nurturing approach, for the range of physical benefits – improved posture, increased functional range and greater ease of movement – or for its underpinning traditions: yoga and traditional Chinese medicine
Whether you’re a yoga teacher seeking to expand your knowledge and offering, or a yin yoga student wanting to delve deeper into the theory and practice, this course is designed for you.
With over 20 years of lived experience and study across many lineages of Yoga, Jules will support you to learn, grow and fall more in love with these complimentary ancient practices.
Training Dates 2025
- Friday 21st February – Thursday 2th February
- Friday 2nd May – Wednesday 7th May
Yin Yoga Training will include:
Core principles of Yin Yoga; how to cue postures and educate students safely
How to artfully sequence Yin postures for maximum myofascial and joint benefits, including targeted sequencing, and counterposes
How to sequence according to 5 elements, and how to sequence a guided meditation in Nidra according to the system of koshas.
Study of the anatomy and biomechanics of the spine, pelvis, thigh, knee, and shoulder girdle, including considerations for injuries and modification needs
Understand the role and function of fascia, connective tissue, and the vital role it plays in overall health
How to adapt the practice to specific populations and concerns (growing bodies, aging bodies, athletes, stress-relief, sleep-aid, etc)
How to create and promote a Yin class, what to ask, what you will need, what to ask for.
Students will receive a certificate of training in Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra from Yoga YACEP, which is eligible for Continuing Education Credit (50 hours) with the Yoga Alliance. By the end of the training – which does include practice teaching – you will have the foundations to teach a complete class in each style, and the resources to begin doing so professionally, if you choose.
