Core Curriculum

Asana

You will learn how to demonstrate and how to assist, so that you can effectively communicate with all students. You’ll learn to teach safely, effectively and with confidence.

Practice Teaching

We practice teaching every day. You will receive feedback to help you refine your teaching skills and so that you feel at ease in front of a class.

Anatomy

We will study Western Anatomy & Physiology with a focus on creating safe, stable alignment in asana. We will study Yogic Anatomy in order to understand the energetic effects of yoga asana on the body and mind.

Beyond the Asana

We will teach you how to translate your life lessons to an experience on the mat that can inspire, excite and uplift students. We encourage you to find your own

Hatha and Kriya Yoga taught at One Bhakthi training emphasizes inner stillness, while the Vinyasa elements of our practice are inspired by the Ashtanga Yoga system. This program is challenging on many layers. The most important requirement is the acceptance and personal responsibility to meet these challenges as they arise.

ONE BHAKTHI TEACHER TRAINING IS A 21 DAY COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM

A recognised training grounded in yoga, self-inquiry, and embodied experience. Our heart led 200HR yoga teacher trainings with One Bhakthi lays the foundations that are essential to embark on the path of yoga.

Curriculum overview

The comprehensive curriculum is informed by the International Yoga Alliance guidelines, with an extra emphasis on Practicum to enhance your confidence and versatility in teaching.

Techniques

Asana lectures and labs for unpacking poses, transitions, alignment, progressions, cueing, modifications and adjustments. Pranayama lab.

Teaching Methodology

Sequencing Adjusting; Voice, Language and Presence, Creativity and Inspiration.

Anatomy and Physiology

Learn functional movements and ranges of the skeleton, muscles and joints and their connections within asana. Understand the respiratory system via pranayama, and their link to the greater ecosystem of the body. Learn the biomechanics of balance and stability with transitions.

Practice Teaching

We practice teaching every day. You will receive feedback to help you refine your teaching skills and so that you feel at ease in front of a class.

What are the Prerequisites for the Training?

One year of consistent yoga practice, preferably in a studio/ in-person setting (at least 2 times/week). This ensures you have a steady understanding of your own relationship with the practice.

How do I Register?

500 USD non – refundable deposit to reserve you’re space.

What Books & Resources are Required?

Reading list will be shared upon confirmation of registration.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

Cancellation Policy

70% refund (excluding deposit) if cancellation occurs more than 30 days before start date.

50% refund (excluding deposit) if cancellation between 15-30 days.

No refund available within 15 days of course commencement.

If for unforeseen and challenging circumstances you are unable to complete the course once you have commenced, the most supportive direction will be assessed on an individual basis.

Inclusions

The structure of the training is 30 hours online anatomy studies, 40 hours self study (includes pre training and time onsite) and 130 hours in person. The 200-hour program is registered with Yoga Alliance. Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive a 200-hour certificate. You will have the option to register with Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level.
