Traditional Hatha Yoga Class

Discover Traditional Hath Yoga at One Bhakthi

Hatha Yoga emphasizes on finding balance between body and mind. The term “Hatha” signifies the union of two essential energies, with “Ha” representing the sun and “Tha” representing the moon.

Hatha Yoga involves practicing physical postures (asanas), breath techniques (pranayama), and meditation to cultivate physical strength, flexibility, and mental stability. It is often considered a foundational style of yoga, providing the basis for many other practices. Hatha classes typically emphasize alignment, mindfulness, and gentle movement, making it accessible for beginners and seasoned practitioners alike.

We practice on building awareness which creates balance and harmony, through a slower mindful practice. Emphasis is placed on breath techniques (pranayama), alignment and longer held postures. Allowing space and integration to be developed for mind, body, breath and spirit. Available for everyone.

Discover Prana Vinyasa Yoga

Introduction to Prana Vinyasa Yoga with Jules

Prana vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic and mindful style of yoga that emphasizes the synchronization of breath, movement, and energy flow. The term “Prana vinyasa” combines “Prana,” meaning life force or vital energy, and “Vinyasa,” which refers to the purposeful sequencing of postures synchronized with breath.

A practice of moving meditation.

Smooth, flowing sequences layered to suit you and your unique body. Dynamic sequences build somatic awareness and muscle strength, physical stamina, coordination, balance, and a deeper breath-body connection.

Through each practice is an immersion into the 5 elements. Experience with movement practices or other styles of yoga can be helpful, but not essential.

Pranayama & Meditation

Pranayama is a fundamental aspect of yoga, centers around breath control and expansion to enhance physical and mental well-being.

Through conscious regulation of the breath, Pranayama can be utilized to harmonize the body and mind, promoting a sense of calm and focus.

Daily accessible techniques will be practiced each serving to channel life force energy (prana) for holistic health.

Learning different Meditation practices to enhance awareness, a time for slowing down the active mind, a space for quietness. A practice that can be accessible and applied into daily life.

Rest & Restore Yoga

A contemplative practice that aims to set the conditions to the body. This involves using props such as straps, blocks, and bolsters to support the body.

Restorative Yoga focuses on cultivating the space of ease. Postures (asana) are often held for a longer length of time than a yin practice. Allowing a mindful embodiment of sensations in the body, free of seeking or strain, can soothe our nervous systems towards a state of wakeful effortlessness, deep relaxation and more optimal circulation within the body-mind.

From this place, we can experience a greater sense of stability and wellbeing, in meeting the changes life presents. Accessible for new yogis and pregnancy, a complement to a more dynamic movement practice or life.

Yin & Myofascial Release Yoga

An integration of slow, gravity-guided Yin postures with Myofascial Release (MFR) techniques. Using props (including tennis balls and blocks), MFR offers more targeted release work through common areas of tension or tightness in the body.

Yin & Myofascial Release Yoga is a gentle, meditative practice that combines the principles of Yin yoga with targeted myofascial release techniques.

This fusion helps release deep-seated tension in the connective tissues, fascia, and muscles, promoting profound relaxation, flexibility, and energetic balance.

Suitable for anyone, particularly in complementing a vigorous lifestyle, or bringing more balance to spirit and mind.

Discover Yin & Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra, often called “yogic sleep,” is a powerful guided meditation practice that takes practitioners into a state of deep relaxation and conscious awareness. It is practiced lying down in a comfortable position and conducted with guidance, often through verbal instructions from the teacher. Yin cultivates receptive inhabitance in the body-mind: of being, rather than doing. Yin Yoga can be an ideal antidote for our complex modern lives – physiologically, as well as for our mental and more subtle energetic wellbeing.

Yin postures can help to bring circulation to joints and deeper connective tissues (fascia). Aside from the feeling of spaciousness or release, this can be a balm and medicine for longevity in our bodies – especially for tired, tense, or overused areas of the body.

Yoga Nidra is a combination of body breath awareness technique, moving from the thinking mind into the body, an effortless presence of being. Suitable for anyone, particularly beginners, seasoned yogis, those with active lives who seek balance.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a guided, relaxation meditation and one of the deepest of all yogic states. The intention of Yoga Nidra is to enter a state of conscious sleep where we cultivate and experience a great sense of calmness and peace.

The perfect antipode unwinding into evening rest. Recommend to bring warm clothing, a shawl and an eye pillow or scarf to cover the eyes.

Yoga Nidra involves systematic relaxation of the body and mind, using guided visualization and awareness techniques to access the subconscious and unconscious levels of the mind.

This practice helps move beyond active thinking, allowing a state of restful alertness that promotes emotional balance, mental clarity, and physical rejuvenation.
